Terms of use
Last updated: 7 October 2026
These terms are between you and Tvornica programa d.o.o. (legal notice), which makes and publishes the game SlovoBoj. The app asks you to accept them before you create a profile or first play with others. If you don't agree with them, please don't use the game.
The game
SlovoBoj is a free word game for Android. Playing with others, coins and the leaderboard need an internet connection and our server. We may change or extend the game, or switch it off for a while, for example for maintenance. We do our best to keep it running without interruption, but we can't guarantee it.
Age
The game is meant for people aged 16 and over.
Profile and nickname
- A profile has no password. It is tied to the app on your phone and can't be moved to another device.
- A nickname must not be offensive or vulgar, must not pretend to be someone else and must not contain personal data or advertising.
- We may change or remove a nickname that breaks these terms.
Rules of conduct
In chat, in nicknames and in the game it is not allowed to:
- insult, threaten, harass or stalk other players;
- use hate speech or slurs based on race, nationality, religion, sex, sexual orientation, disability or the like;
- post sexual, violent or otherwise inappropriate content;
- share other people's personal data (full name, address, phone number and the like);
- send spam, advertising or links to scams;
- cheat: modify the app, use bots or scripts, exploit bugs in the game or deliberately disrupt matches.
We also advise you not to share your own personal data in chat.
Moderation and reports
- The server automatically hides swear words and insults in chat and refuses nicknames with such words. The filter isn't perfect.
- Report an offensive message, nickname or player in the app: tap the chat message, or the player in a room, on the match results or on the leaderboard, and choose "Report". The server attaches the messages from the room itself, so no screenshot is needed. The reported player doesn't learn who reported them.
- If you can't send a report from the app, write to slovoboj@tvornica-programa.hr with the room name, the nickname and roughly when it happened.
- You can also block a player, in the same place: you then don't see each other's messages and can't be in the same room. You lift a block in Settings → Blocked players.
- We look at every report. When three different players report the same profile within a day, its chat is switched off automatically for a day, until we review the reports. For a player who breaks these terms we may switch off the chat, change the nickname, take away coins or League Points gained by cheating, block playing with others for a while or for good, or delete the profile.
Coins
- Coins are the game's virtual currency. They can't be bought, have no monetary value and can't be sold, transferred or exchanged for money or goods.
- How they are earned and spent is explained in Help. We may change the amounts (the price of a hint and the rewards).
- Coins are gone when the profile is deleted. We may take away coins gained by cheating or through a bug.
Ads
The game shows third-party ads through Google AdMob. The advertiser is responsible for an ad's content. Watching an ad for coins is voluntary, and the reward is paid once Google confirms that the ad was watched to the end. How data is processed for this is explained in the privacy policy.
Intellectual property
The game, its graphics, music, texts and word lists belong to Tvornica programa d.o.o. or its licensors. Open-source components and their licences are listed in the app (Settings → About SlovoBoj → Open-source licenses). You get a personal, non-exclusive right to use the game for entertainment. You may not copy, modify, decompile or distribute it, except as far as the law allows.
Liability
The game is free and provided as it is. We are not liable for damage caused by interruptions, loss of in-game data or the behaviour of other players, unless it was caused intentionally or by gross negligence, and only as far as the law allows liability to be limited. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.
Ending
You can stop using the game whenever you like and delete your profile (how to delete your profile). If we ever shut the game down, we will announce it on this page in advance.
Changes to these terms
We may change these terms. The new version is published on this page, with the date of the last update at the top. For important changes the app asks you to accept the terms again; for other changes, if you keep playing, you accept the new terms.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Croatia. We will first try to settle any dispute by agreement, so please contact us first. If that fails, the competent court in Zagreb has jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you may also go to the court where you live, and the protection given to you by the laws of your country remains.
